2021.11.27 11:39 veganmark My Comment on COVID Vaccine Toxicity
This is a slightly expanded version of a comment I previously posted at WotB. I am posting it as an essay so that it can be linked to.
As a biomedical scientist who is double-vaxxed (and just got a flu shot), and who has published ten papers in the biomedical literature pertinent to COVID, I can tell you that it is abundantly OBVIOUS to anyone who looks objectively at the available data that the current COVID mRNA and DNA vaccines are EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. They cause cells throughout the body to make the COVID spike protein. While this made sense to the designers of the vaccines at the time - such vaccines result in antibodies that can impede interaction of SARS-CoV-2 with its cell surface receptor ACE2 - what they didn't know at the time is that the spike protein, in and of itself - absent the intact virus - is extremely toxic to the vascular system. I have put together just partial list of published studies documenting the toxicity this protein to vascular endothelium and the blood-brain barrier, as well as its activating effects on platelets:
In addition, reports of suspected adverse reactions to the vaccines posted to the VAERS pharmacovigilance system are through the roof. Note this careful analysis of the VAERS data:
The most striking finding is that, among people aged 20-60, the rates of VAERS reports, per million doses, of thrombotic complications - most notably pulmonary embolism, deep vein thrombosis, and stroke - are over 200-fold higher (up to 450-fold higher) for the current COVID vaccines than for all other vaccines over the last decade. And this correlates perfectly with the known vasculotoxicity of the spike protein.
Moreover, the risk for myo/pericariditis associated with these vaccines in young males in now universally acknowledged; the CDC hasn't managed to cover this up because Israeli authorities reported on it.
The ability of these vaccines to reduce risk for death or serious outcomes in COVID must be acknowledged - albeit this protection declines notably over time. However, in healthy young people - especially children, in whom risk for serious COVID is quite low - and in those who have survived previous infection, the risk associated with vaccination is clearly greater than the potential protection from COVID.
The number of anecdotes worldwide of relatively young people dying suddenly and unexpectedly, or developing myo/pericarditis, following vaccination, is going through the roof. Here is an entire website devoted to citing these:
And here is a new clinical study in which all patients in a cardiovascular clinical practice were given a PULS cardiac test at regular intervals to determine their risk for acute coronary events; this measures biomarkers for inflamed soft coronary lesions apt to rupture and induce a heart attack. These markers were found to increase markedly for at least 2.5 months following the second COVID vaccination. This shows that, while severe complications after vaccination are not common, indices of inflammation increase in MOST people for a prolonged time – predicting doubling of risk for coronary events.
The implementation of vaccine MANDATES is literally insane, inasmuch as the current vaccines do little or nothing to slow the spread of the delta variant. Getting vaccinated protects no one but yourself (if it doesn't directly kill or maim you.)
Furthermore, well tolerated ivermectin protocols can be employed that are at least as effective as vaccination for preventing COVID - and care zero health risk. In fact, every controlled study worldwide that has evaluated ivermectin for primary prophylaxis concludes that it works, and meta-analyses of both randomized controlled and total controlled studies conclude that it reduces risk by about 86%.
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34145166/ I v m m e t a . c o m
(I am disguising the second URL, as the controllers of Reddit will not allow posting of essays that link to the most comprehensive compendium of controlled clinical studies evaluating ivermectin for prevention and treatment of COVID.)
I am taking ivermectin myself - 20 mg once weekly with a meal; I sure as hell am not going to take a booster.
Furthermore, for those who nonetheless become infected, multi-drug generic therapies can virtually eliminate risk for hospitalization or death if employed within a week of symptom onset:
That the public is largely unaware of this evidence is traceable to the fact that our regulatory authorities - and the MSM and social media outlets which echo them - are in the pocket of Big Pharma, and totally dedicated to maximizing Big Pharma's profits on vaccines and the new expensive drugs that are in the offing. And they are aggressively censoring info that opposes the mainstream narrative. See this straightforward explanation:

2021.11.27 11:39 madboxwithablueman Of nervous husbands...
Or at least of one.
I'm a SAHM, with a 9 and a half week old little owl. My husband went back to work when she was four weeks old. Me and her, we manage just fine. I'm lucky to take a 5 min shower somedays, and somedays I don't take one at all, because she won't let me. But it's okay. So now it's the weekend, and I think 'yay, finally I can take a nice long shower, her daddy is there to look after her!' I changed her, I dressed her, so all he has to do is cuddle her or walk her around the rooms. Or at least I thought so.
As soon as I closed the bathroom door, I hear that very distinct call of my little owl. (Aka baby cries) I wait. And I call through the bathroom door what he should do to try to soothe her. I wait some more. She still is calling. So there I am, taking another 5 min shower.
It's not because he doesn't like to be involved, but because he starts getting nervous as soon as she begins to be fussy. You can see it in his eyes, he is frustrated and very nervous as soon as I hand her over. He expects her to be fussy and so she will be, even if she was the happiest little muffin to begin with. It breaks my heart to see him this way, because he loves her so so much! He doesn't dare to feed her, because she takes pretty long to finish, and misinterprets it as rejection.
I can't even use the toilet in peace when he is there, because he thinks he will do something wrong and make her fussy, which in itself causes her to become fussy. It's just sad for me to see.
Of course we talked about this, but telling someone to not be as flustered usually does not result in someone being less so.. I just hope it resolves over time.
I just wanted to put this out here to get it off my mind. I'm sorry if it's a little bit long.

2021.11.27 11:39 robsters OPNsense 21.7 unbound natively supports NextDNS DNS-over-TLS. No separate plug-ins or installed components needed now.
Figured I’d post this for those who are still using separate plug-ins or even command line installed NextDNS software to support DNS-over-TLS on OPNsense. As of OPNsense 21.7, everything needed is built into OPNsense unbound.
Switched to OPNsense a year ago from pfSense, unbound on pfSense supported NextDNS with DNS-over-TLS somewhat easily with the advanced configuration settings tab and at the time, it was copy and paste easy in pfSense. OPNsense unbound did not support the manual configuration needed in prior versions.
As of OPNsense 21.7, everything needed is built in and extremely easy (even easier than pfSense) to setup. Simply visit the OPNsense web admin > Services > Unbound DNS > “DNS over TLS” configuration page. Enter the NextDNS Server IP, Port (853), and “Verify CN” (you will find this on NextDNS website, it is on the Setup tab titled “DNS-over-TLS/QUIC”, the text that looks like XXXXX.dns.nextdns.io). That’s it!
NOTE: Make sure on NextDNS you turn on CNAME flattening since unbound is a CNAME chasing resolver. Your future self will thank you when odd sites get blocked.
NOTE: If you have an iPhone/iPad/MacBook with Safari and use the privacy feature called iCloud Private Relay, NextDNS tests and DNS leak tests will indicate you are not using NextDNS, rightfully so since that iCloud feature is intended to mask traffic and DNS requests just like a VPN. You can quickly find out if this is the case by using a site to lookup your public IP address, if the site shows something other than your real public address, you know you turned it on. Simply visit your WiFi settings and disable it on your home WiFi SSID (it’s a setting on each SSID below the Forget WiFi Network option) or turn it off globally in iCloud settings. If you are like me, iCloud Private Relay worked so well that I forgot that I had to manually enable it in the first place and that it’s there quietly masking my traffic from advertisers and ISPs. In my case, I have no intention of turning it off, noticed way less ads that target me with iCloud Private Relay and NextDNS.
This is a lot, figured the subject warranted a little more detail. Comments and thoughts welcome, especially if I got something wrong.
Hope this helps those who didn’t realize this new pane exists on the unbound settings now, Rob

2021.11.27 11:39 i_mukund Automating Forest (app) rooms?
I am trying to automate the process of making new forest rooms, sharing the room code and then starting the forest room.
My study group and I have an arrangement, where I make forest rooms at particular times in the day (like following a timetable), copy the room code link and share it with my study group on telegram, wait for about 10ish minutes for everyone to join, and then I start the room. However, setting a new room according to a timetable all the time gets a little difficult, and I was hoping to find a way to automate this entire process. That way even if I don't host the room, the rooms get made, the link gets forwarded, and the room starts automatically, so the rest of the group can maintain their flow.
I have seen people mention in a couple of Reddit threads that they've managed to sort of automate the process of making and starting the room using automate or tasker app for android, but I couldn't figure it out for myself. I also tried to use the iOS shortcuts app but I couldn't get it to work.
Is there a way do this? Is it even possible? Any help with this will be greatly appreciated!

We want to move house and do so quickly, but don’t want to pay an agent because we don’t like spending money. We sold our home overseas without an agent and it went fine, but it doesn’t seem to be the norm in NZ. Looking for tips from anyone who’s done it before or if anyone thinks/knows if it is better to go with an agent?

2021.11.27 11:39 imGoingToEatYourTots Why does my cappuccino get made differently at one local based coffee shop vs another?
So there are 4 in my area. 2 of them make the cappuccino the traditional way but the other two give me the size of a latte instead and it basically just tastes like a latte. Is it becusse they don’t have smaller cups? I’ve run into this situation often…..
also, the cappuccinos or cortados I get have a different consistency than at the good coffee shops. The one I got today was extremely hot when usually the Capp is cooled as soon as it’s ready
Just curious what the difference is. Why do I get something different at 2 coffee shops than the other 2?
